The 4th Annual Nick Muska-Nick Van Pelt Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course.  Check-in will begin at 10 am with a tee off time of 1:00 pm.  Supper, awards presentation and live auction will begin immediately following the tournament.

Registration is now open and is on a first-come, first served basis.  We can accommodate 30 teams of 4.  To register, click here.

Awards will be given to the 1st, 5th, 10th and last place teams.  In addition, Greg May Chevrolet and Muska Insurance is sponsoring a "Hole in One" and Sulak's Cafe is sponsoring a "Putting Contest."  There will also be a Gamble on a Greenie, Closest to the Pin #4, #6, #14 and #17and Longest Drive - Holes #7 and #15.  We will also have a 50/50 cash drawing.

All proceeds benefit all West Independent School District Athletes.  Money raised from past tournaments has enables the West Athletic Booster Club to provide equipment needed to train our athletes in various sports and scholarships.  

Because of the unbelievable success from the 2006, 2007 and 2008 events, we were able to raise in excess of $33,000 for the student athletes of West ISD and offer a $1,000 scholarship to honor of Nick and Nick.  Our goal this year is to raise $12,000.  To do so, we need your support.  Please visit the "Sponsors" page for details.  Remember, all funds raised go to support the student athletes of West ISD.

What's  New

●  NEW PRIZE FOR PUTTING CONTEST - Heaven's Home Ranch in Junction, TX (Jerry & Sharon Mazanec-Owners) will now be the "Putting Contest" sponsors.  The prize will be a guided weekend hunt for one (1) hunter and guest at Heaven's Home Ranch.  The hunt will be from Friday PM to Sunday AM and the hunt date will be determined by the owners.  All meals and drinks (non-alcoholic) included.  Lodging is not included, but RV hookup is available at no charge (local motels/hotels are also available).  1 buck, 1 doe, 1 turkey.

●  The registration page is now operational.  If you registered, but you do not see your team listed on the players' list, please re-register.  The Player's List is updated nightly.

Two young West student athletes were tragically taken from us.  The Booster Club wanted to do something to honor their short, yet fulfilling lives.  With support and permission from the families, the Booster Club renamed the West Athletic Booster Club Annual Golf Tournament in 2006 to ‘The Nick Muska-Nick Van Pelt Annual Memorial Golf Opin.’

Both Nick’s were outstanding student examples on and off the fields of competition and for all that knew them, Nick Muska particularly enjoyed the game of golf with his Dad, Tommy, as pictured in the drawing we use as the tournament logo.  Nick drew this at age 5.
